Memorial Day was discussed by Gene Goldsmith. It was a great ceremony and the turnout was very good. He mentioned that the Sunnyland Memorial Park will have a wreath made up for the Vietnam Veterans next Memorial Day but someone from the chapter will be needed to accept it at Sunnyland Memorial Park.

The Endowment Fund with BTC was discussed by Gene Goldsmith. The chapter no longer maintains a Scholarship Fund or bank account. Nor does the chapter give scholarships directly anymore. Any donation to scholarships by chapter members or others should go directly to our foundation account at BTC. Gene also read an article in the summer 2016 edition of Whatcom Magazine discussing the chapter endowment set up with BTC.
