Secretary’s minutes of November approved as drafted.

 

Treasurer’s November report read by Ken Richardson. The report was approved as read.

 

Membership update by Jim Pace. Chapter now has approximately 275 members. We all are encouraged to recruit – would like to see membership at 300. Jim (and others) reiterated the “deal” for life membership at $100, offer good to the end of the year.

 

Old Business:

Gene Goldsmith read a letter of appreciation from the Children of Viet Nam. The Chapter supports this cause to the tune of $850 per year.

All of the last four remaining Viet Nam Experience books were sold immediately.

A reminder of the upcoming Bottle Auction slated for 12 February 2016. This is a fund-raising event for the Chapter and participation is encouraged.

A potential B of D meeting on the scholarship program was deferred until after the holidaze.

 

New Business:

No snack night in December, due to the holidays.

VASH (Veteran’s Administration Subsidized Housing) party is scheduled for December 15 from 11:00 to 13:00 at the Opportunity Council.

VFW has snack night this Friday @ 6:00 (18:00) with a taco bar. The entertainment will be the Harmony N.W. Choir.

VFW New Year’s party on the 31st at 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. You are guaranteed to get home before the crazies are out on the roads.

There is a continuing need for DAV van drivers. Talk to Pres. Gene if you can volunteer.

 

Next meeting is 5 January 2016 at the usual time.

 

Good of the Order

Pres. Gene reminds all to check the VFW calendar for upcoming events.

There will be no more VVA snack nights (without help for Kenny).

Be sure to read your Veteran magazine.

 

Motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:05 was seconded and passed. The meeting was adjourned by Gene Goldsmith and the guests (wives, girlfriends, family and friends) joined for a great dinner. You all who did not attend missed out on something special.
